­­Position Summary


The Assistant Brand Manager plays a vital role in supporting the development and execution of brand strategies to achieve the business objectives. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive brand growth, enhance market presence, and ensure consistency in messaging and identity across all touchpoints. This role involves analyzing consumer insights, managing brand campaigns, and monitoring performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Ideal candidates are creative, data-driven, and thrive in dynamic environments, possessing strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects aligned with the company’s strategic vision.

Duties & Responsibilities


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Gain extensive exposure and collaborate with various functions within the branded business areas, including Sales, Finance, R&D, and other cross-functional groups.

Data Analysis and Insights

  • Serve as the category subject matter expert by analyzing in-market data, market trends, competitive activity, new product performance and consumer research. Translate these findings into actionable insights as part of the monthly business analytics process.

Presentation Development

  • Create compelling presentation content and recommendations to share with key stakeholders and leadership.

Budget Management

  • Oversee the marketing budget.

Agency Relationship Management

  • Manage relationships with agencies for packaging graphics design and consumer communications (e.g., social media, PR); Coordinate day-to-day activities.

Marketing Program Support

  • Assist in planning and executing marketing programs (consumer, shopper, etc.) to achieve growth objectives.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and consumer touchpoints.

Qualifications


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the food Consumer Packaged Goods ( CPG) industry.


Skills and Competencies

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, for effective communication both within and outside the organization.
  • Must be driven and self-motivated.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong desire to make an impact.
  • Proficient in analyzing data to identify trends, understand underlying factors, and reveal actionable insights.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills; capable of prioritizing and managing initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; with the capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills; fostering open communication and the ability to engage/influence others.
  • Proficient in leading and managing cross-functional projects and teams, collaborating with coworkers across various functional areas including Sales, R&D, Finance, and Operations.


Physical Requirements


  • Mobility: Ability to stand, walk and sit for long durations, with most of the workday spent at a desk.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to use both hands for fine motor skills, such as operating a computer keyboard and mouse efficiently.
  • Physical Strength: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May need to lift and carry light items like marketing materials.
  • Vision: Visual acuity for reading documents, viewing screens, and analyzing data. This includes close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, with or without correction.
  • Communication: Ability to speak clearly and hear within the normal audio range, with or without correction, to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Travel: May require occasional travel to attend meetings, conferences, or other business-related events.
  • Work Environment: This role primarily operates in a professional office setting with a collaborative and dynamic team. The environment is typically climate controlled.
