Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Development: Motivate and guide supervisory staff, ensuring morale and teamwork drive safe and productive operations.
• Communication & Collaboration: Serve as a vital link between production teams and plant management to support informed decision-making and policy enforcement.
• Talent Management: Oversee hourly employee recruiting, training, and performance accountability, maintaining consistent policies and discipline.
• Performance Optimization: Implement Lean practices (5S, Kaizen, Gemba) to improve processes and efficiency while meeting corporate safety and quality goals.
• Production Oversight: Develop schedules, monitor production stages, and strategize to reduce costs while maintaining high-quality output.
• Equipment Maintenance: Support maintenance teams in ensuring minimal disruption to production from key equipment such as pellet mills, hammer mills, and dryers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• 7+ years of supervisory experience in a production environment, ideally within the wood, paper, or corrugated products industry.
• Expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven leadership skills with a history of hiring, training, and managing teams to achieve company objectives.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities in a 24/7 operations setting.
