ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Specialist working hybrid in Arlington, VA to support our premier client’s business assurance team. The ideal candidate relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks, and works under general supervision. This is a 12-month contract role that offers experience working with incident management service, helping to establish our client’s KPIs.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor KPIs as outlined in Business Assurance Center (BAC)-owned procurement. Advise the BAC on performance breaches and financial penalties.
- Build a performance tracking mechanism for KPIs within contracts.
- Advise BAC leadership on procurement best practices and request for proposal (RFP) development, including relevant SLAs to incentivize performance aligned with operational and strategic goals.
- Develop draft contractual documentation, purchase orders, and other related products to support the procurement experience.
- Develop mechanism for BAC procurement process, including end-to-end requirements from finance, legal, contracts, compliance, and application security, amongst others.
- Independently gather information from and coordinate with various subject matter experts across security, legal, regulatory, privacy, and compliance departments to inform procurement strategies.
- Develop and own a mechanism to track BAC procurements, purchase orders, work orders, and associated invoices through reconciliation.
Required Skills:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited law school with 0-3 years of experience.
- Experience drafting contracts
- Service contract procurement experience (leading/executing RFP process)
- Ability to or experience in developing mechanisms to track contractor performance and calculate incentive fee payments
- Development/advising on incentive structures
