Job Summary
The Automation Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of automation equipment and machinery used in plastic injection molding processing and assembly. This role involves maintaining, programming, setting up, optimizing, and troubleshooting all automation equipment and all supporting machinery and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues with automation equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Develop and implement programs for automation systems, including PLCs, servo drives, sensors, and camera systems.
- Continuously improve equipment efficiency and productivity through adjustments and optimizations, focusing on safety, quality, and cost.
- Priortize safety by identifying and addressing hazards, following safety protocols, and reporting incidents and near misses. Develop safety protocols and preventative solutions.
- Collaborate with technicians to provide support, training, and problem-solving assistance.
- Contribute to technical projects, assisting with development and implementation.
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts and components.
- Participate in initiatives to enhance processes and efficiency.
- Assist and support in equipment and tool changeovers and adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Perform calibration activities as required.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness of the maintenance facilities, equipment, and tools.
- Set-up, program, and integrate peripheral equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Follow all safety and company policies and guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong understanding of automation equipment, including PLCs, servo drivers, sensors, and camera systems.
- Proficiency in robot programming and automation system programming.
- Experience automating 6-axis robots.
