Project Coordinator - Carlsbad, NM

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in conducting fieldwork, collecting samples, and assisting Project Managers with environmental assessments and remediations.

This position will require being in the field approximately 90% of the time and working approximately 40 to 50 hours a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Field Data Collection: Conduct environmental assessments and sampling which will include installing soil borings with a hand auger.
• Sample Analysis: Prepare and ?eld analyze environmental samples using standard equipment and procedures.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot ?eld equipment, ensuring its proper functioning.
• Data Recording: Accurately record and organize ?eld data, ensuring that all information is properly documented.
• Report Preparation: Assist in the preparation of technical reports, summarizing ?ndings, and providing recommendations. This will include utilizing Microsoft o?ce.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and safety protocols during ?eldwork.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with environmental scientists, engineers, technicians, and other team members to achieve project goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• Previous experience in environmental ?eldwork or related roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment and data collection techniques.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety protocols.

• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry field equipment.
• Basic computer knowledge (Email, Microsoft 360, Internet based time entry).
