About This Opportunity

Our retail client is looking for a Communications Contractor to join its Corporate Communications team.

As a Communications Contractor, you will support the work of the Internal & Operations Communications Team to drive employee engagement and alignment with company strategy and priorities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Draft and distribute communications (intranet posts, emails and digital displays) for multiple audiences
• Interview employees and Franchisees and draft spotlight series stories
• Maintain distribution lists for various audiences
• Track established metrics and report on results
• Monitor communications mailbox and respond to employees and/or route as necessary
• Monitor communications intake form
• Update communications calendar

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience
• Strong, clear and concise communication, writing and editing skills
• Experience distributing communications in Poppulo or Zipline (or similar email distribution platform)
• Experience posting content on an intranet platform, Unily preferred
• Understanding of internal audience segmentation
• Ability to track and report on communications metrics
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with design software (i.e. Canva) a plus
