Job Description

Job Title: Identity and Access Management Specialist

Location: Madison, WI 53783 (Hybrid - 2-3 Days in Office)

Duration: 12 months

Contract Type: W2 only

Pay Rate: $70 - $80/Hour


Position Overview:

  • The Cybersecurity Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert in the field of Identity and Access Management (IAM), focusing on technologies such as Entra ID, Okta, Siteminder, OIDC, SAML, API Management, and Azure App Proxy.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of IAM principles and technologies, coupled with strong project management skills to lead and implement security projects effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage IAM solutions using Entra ID, Okta, Siteminder, OIDC, SAML, API Management, and Azure App Proxy.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for identity and access management that align with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate IAM technologies into existing systems and new initiatives.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and other departments on matters related to IAM.
  • Manage projects related to the enhancement of IAM capabilities, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Stay abreast of the latest security threats, technologies, and trends in IAM.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field or
  • 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in IAM, with specific expertise in Entra ID, Okta, Siteminder, OIDC, SAML, API Management, and Azure App Proxy.
  • Strong understanding of network and security protocols, authentication methods, and security attack vectors.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead projects and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications in cybersecurity and IAM (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP) are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions and solve complex problems.
  • This position requires someone who can work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. The ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, is essential.
