Inside Sales Manager – AeroDefense


Position Overview

AeroDefense, a leader in drone detection to provide airspace awareness, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Manager to join our growing team. The Inside Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying and nurturing leads, building relationships with prospective customers, and closing sales. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong communication skills, a passion for technology, and a proven track record in sales.


Key Responsibilities


  • Build, lead, coach, and mentor a team of inside sales representatives, and support staff to meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through research, outreach, and inbound lead follow-up.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients in the defense, critical infrastructure, and private sectors.
  • Develop and implement training programs to elevate the team's product knowledge, sales skills, and customer engagement techniques.


  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop incentive compensation program.
  • Advise career plans with team members.
  • Establish and maintain individual and team goals.


  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Track and report on sales metrics, forecasts, and activities using CRM tools.
  • Analyze sales trends and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.


  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
  • Define and execute the inside sales strategy aligned with overall business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Establish clear sales goals, performance metrics, and KPIs to drive individual and team success.
  • Optimize sales workflows, processes, and technology tools to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Sales Performance & Growth:
  • Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for performance improvement, growth, and optimization.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of lead conversion rates, pipeline management, and overall sales revenue.


  • Customer Engagement & Retention:
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer engagement, satisfaction, and retention throughout the sales process.
  • Ensure that the inside sales team is delivering exceptional customer experiences while adhering to the company’s values and standards.
  • Implement feedback loops to monitor customer satisfaction and continuously improve the sales approach.


  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies within the drone and drone detection markets.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team regarding new market opportunities, customer needs, and strategic initiatives.


  • Reporting & Forecasting:
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic updates to senior leadership.
  • Leverage CRM and sales tools to track, measure, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics.


  • Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of inside sales leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior director or equivalent role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in the residential solar or renewable energy industry is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in scaling and managing high-performing inside sales teams in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Experience in using CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales enablement tools.
