Job Description

Restaurant Service Manager  plays a crucial role in ensuring  the  smooth and efficient operation  of a dining establishment .  This position involves overseeing the front-of-house activities, managing staff, and ensuring  that customers  have a pleasant dining experience. Reports to the General Manager

Salary 75K to 80K

Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency and profitability.
    • Manage reservations and table allocations to maximize seating and customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure that the restaurant environment is clean, safe, and welcoming.

Staff Supervision and Development:

    • Hire, train, and manage all front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve staff performance.
    • Organize regular staff meetings to discuss updates, address issues, and motivate the team.

Customer Service:

    • Resolve customer complaints with diplomacy and professionalism to maintain a positive reputation.
    • Ensure high standards of customer service  are maintained  at all times.
    • Build relationships with regular customers and greet VIP guests personally.

Financial Management:

    • Assist in setting budgetary and financial targets.
    • Monitor daily receipts and expenditures.
    • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.

Compliance and Quality Control:

    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain high standards of food and beverage  quality,  and service levels.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant management software and point of sale (POS) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations for food service establishments.
  • A hospitality management degree is preferred, though not mandatory.
