Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree preferred.
Minimum of three years of responsible business experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Certification as a Unit Coordinator preferred - we will train the right person
Medical terminology experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.

Your Responsibilities:
Record Management: Prepare, compile, and maintain accurate and secure medical records for both electronic and paper systems.
Patient Transitions: Organize discharge and transfer processes, including scheduling follow-up appointments.
Communication: Serve as the primary contact for the unit, handling phone calls, directing visitors, and assisting nursing staff and providers.
Inventory Oversight: Monitor and replenish unit stock supplies, ensuring expiration dates are checked and special orders are placed as needed.
