Essential Responsibilities:
Monitor and document EKG rhythms, measurements, and changes in patient records.
Communicate rhythm patterns and any concerns with the primary RN using precise medical terminology.
Troubleshoot lead placement, electrode issues, and battery changes to ensure accurate telemetry readings.
Assist in critical situations like Code Blues, cardioversions, and pacemaker reprogramming by running monitor strips.
Clean and maintain equipment and report malfunctions to BioMed and technical support.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of cardiac rhythms, PR, QRS, QT, and ST segment measurement.
Effective communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
A proactive approach to patient safety and technology troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Successfully pass written arrhythmia exam with score of 80% or better.
Certified EKG Monitor Tech and successfully pass arrhythmia exam in Relias with score of 100% yearly.
RN’s and Respiratory Therapist must have ACLS and successfully pass arrhythmia exam in Relias with score of 100% yearly.
LPN and CNA’s successfully pass arrhythmia course and exam with a score of 80% or better.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have and maintain current CPR or BLS certification.
