Key Responsibilities:
First Assist Expertise: Perform as the First Assist under direct supervision of the surgeon, following the Nurse Practice Act of Colorado and AORN Position Statement.
Surgical Support: Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe operations and exceptional patient outcomes.
Quality Care: Deliver superior nursing care in all areas of the Surgical Services Department.
Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient experiences.
What You Bring:
Licensed Expertise: Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license with surgical assisting experience preferred.
Detail-Oriented: Precision and focus to ensure patient safety and success in the OR.

This position is eligible for an 8% pay differential and will be scheduled to work on call as needed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Nurse Practitioner (NP) is required from an accredited nursing program and two years of perioperative nursing experience. Successful completion of an NPFA program that meets the AORN Recommended Education Standards for NPFA programs or two years of experience as a documented First Assist. Required annual minimal competence is 250 documented hours.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current CPR certification.
Current ACLS certification.
Current PALS.
Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner License in Colorado Unrestricted DEA Registration Certification
