The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our growing team as a medical receptionist. This unique position will be pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of our practice, ensuring smooth front desk and back office functions. As our practice continues to grow, this role has the potential to evolve into a leadership position with responsibilities that include managing front desk staff.
Responsibilities
- Front Desk Operations: Oversee daily front desk activities including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Back Office Management: Supervise and coordinate back office tasks such as managing prior authorization requests, facilitating medication requests, and maintaining medical records.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff and administration to ensure seamless communication and coordination across the practice.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices to enhance patient experience and streamline workflow.
Qualifications
- Experience: Multiple years of experience in medical front desk or back office roles, with a demonstrated understanding of healthcare operations.
- Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a high level of professionalism.
- Problem solving: Proactive approach to problem-solving and operational efficiency.
Position & Schedule Type
- Type: Full Time, In-person
- Hours: Schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
- Location: Stamford, CT
Compensation
Expected compensation for this position is highly competitive at $20-$25 per hour. Additionally, this position is eligible for benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and company holidays to name a few.
