  • A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for ICU RN's. 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience. 13 Week contract.
    Job Requirements
  • 2 years of unit experience.
  • RNs required to titrate drips.
  • Nasal cannula to vents handling.
  • Read and interpret heart monitoring with centralized telemetry.
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 0630-1830, 1830-0630
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other
  • Holiday Requirements: Every other or as needed for based on unit needs
  • Floating Requirements: Will float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU
  • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2 shifts
    Unit Specific Information
  • # of Beds: 34
  • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 ICU, 1:4 PCU
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Peds >15 years old
  • Nursing duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job requirements and additional info
    Additional Details
  • Fast paced unit with volume flexes due to being primary tertiary hospital for the system.
  • Attributes that will make a nurse successful on this unit are the ability ask questions, a positive attitude, willingness to help others, critical thinking skills, personable, and positive attitude.
  • Team environment meant to foster high quality care and work with attendings and student providers to collaborate on care.
  • Radius Rule: 50 miles. Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
  • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
