WHERE THIS ROLE SITS:
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on employee benefits, managing documents, workflows, and inquiries related to health and voluntary benefit plans.
- Conduct data analysis and audits to ensure accuracy in benefit enrollments, terminations, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ACA, 5500s).
- Develop and update employee benefit communication materials, including open enrollment resources, and support wellbeing initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams on process improvements, system updates (e.g., Workday), and benefit integration for mergers and acquisitions.
- Manage projects and provide strategic recommendations for benefit processes, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.
BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, with 3-5 years of direct benefits experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, IF statements, and pivot tables for data analysis.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Workday and union benefits administration is preferred.
