About Our Client: A respected manufacturer in the personal care and cosmetics industry, our client has built a strong reputation for innovative formulation development and quality products. Their R&D team currently consists of five chemists working collaboratively in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Position Overview: Reporting to the R&D Supervisor, this role focuses on formulating, testing, and reverse engineering personal care products that meet safety standards while maintaining cost-effectiveness and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop original and National Brand Equivalent (NBE) cosmetic product formulations
• Conduct and interpret various testing procedures, including microbial, stability, and challenge testing
• Interface directly with customers to ensure laboratory meets expectations
• Collaborate with chemical vendors to maintain necessary material supplies
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry innovations
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace
• Analyze and optimize formulation costs while meeting quality standards

? Required Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field
• 1-3 years of R&D laboratory experience
• Demonstrated expertise with basic laboratory equipment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience in cosmetic product formulation preferred
