Cybersecurity Platform Operations Consultant – PKI (Mid-Level)

Location: Chicago, IL / Richardson, TX (Hybrid Role)

Type: 6-12-month Contract-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with encryption systems, including certificate management and key automation tools.
• Support enterprise encryption services, including Data at Rest, Data in Transit, and Transaction Data protection.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve security processes and systems.
• Document processes, provide operational support, and ensure compliance with security standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of IT/security experience OR 8+ years of related professional/military experience.
• Hands-on experience with PKI and tools like Venafi, KeyFactor, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of cryptography, encryption technologies, and security protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Familiarity with incident response, audit documentation, and compliance standards like HIPAA is a plus.
