Vektor Medical, Inc., a dynamic and innovative medical device company, is seeking a Senior FP&A Finance Leader to play a critical role in supporting the CFO and driving financial planning and analysis. This position will serve as a key partner to the CFO, taking ownership of significant responsibilities and contributing to our mission of revolutionizing cardiac arrhythmia care.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Collaborate closely with the CFO to develop annual budgets and long-term financial plans aligned with company objectives.
- Take ownership of financial modeling, salesforce forecasts, and scenario planning to inform strategic decisions.
- Build and optimize systems and processes to ensure alignment of data and reporting with company goals.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgetary targets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to bring to CFO.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality financial reports, including variance analysis and forecasts, to the CFO, senior leadership, and stakeholders.
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to track business performance and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Collaboration:
- Serve as a trusted partner to the CFO, providing support in key decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with US VP of Sales and Regional Salesforce to monitor and update quarterly sales forecasts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with operational objectives and company priorities.
Accounting Oversight and Operations:
- Assist the CFO in overseeing accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cash Management.
- Take ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and maintaining a 5-day close.
- Partner with external accounting firms to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Support the CFO in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinate audits and assist with audit preparation, taking ownership of specific areas as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, with a track record of driving business impact; minimum 8 years of relevant work experience required with minimum of 3 years of experience in public and private accounting, preferred but not required.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems, tools, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
