About Us:

Manufacturing defense contractor committed to innovation, excellence, and service to defense and governmental agencies, municipalities, and open market customers seeks a seasoned professional to join our team as the Director of Finance.

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to lead our finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private accounting and a proven track record of supervisory experience. The role requires hands-on experience in managerial/cost accounting and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis.
• Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring efficient and effective departmental performance.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government accounting and financial reporting regulations.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance and safeguard the company’s financial position.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Coordinate audits and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
• Implement, manage, and optimize ERP systems to streamline financial processes and improve data accuracy and accessibility.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in private accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong experience with ERP systems, including implementation, management, and optimization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
