Akkodis is seeking Sr Manufacturing Engineer for a contract job with a direct client in Plymouth MN. This position will design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures in order to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality. Essential Functions: List the significant/essential duties, tasks or responsibilities which employees in this position are actually required to perform. Manage projects which include new production equipment, process improvements and cost reductions while supporting new product introductions. Provide guidance to other engineers and technicians.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $52/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Role: Sr Manufacturing Engineer

Duration: 12+ Months
Additional responsibilities include: Provide technical mentorship to engineers and technicians Conduct Process FMEAs and Process Validations Improve product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput through the use of Lean manufacturing concepts Coordinate the design, procurement, build and debug of tooling, machinery and test equipment Work with Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability Individual should: Be innovative, resourceful, and work with minimal direction Have excellent organization, problem solving, communication, and team leadership skills Work effectively with cross-functional teams Other Duties: List any other important but non-essential and/or infrequent duties performed. Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements
New Product Development – taking lead on activities, process validation, how to build, hands on, IQ, OQ, PPQ, drafting protocols, putting together reports • Assigned portion of process – working with R&D engineering, set up processing • Consultant for process side of things • Working with Operators, R&D engineers, Quality Engineers • 5+ years’ experience required • Minitab plus experience preferred • IQ, OQ, PPQ experience required • Process validation experience required • Someone who is resourceful • SOPs, working with operators • 60% on computer, 40% working with Operators to start to ensure understanding of process and products • May have some travel between Plymouth and Minnetonka • Previous med device experience nice to have, but not required • Interview Process: Phone screen (10-15 min), Teams interview to follow
