Location Details:
- Office/Remote Schedule: Once training is completed, the position will transition to a hybrid schedule, with on-site work required on Tuesdays and Thursdays and remote work on the remaining days.
- Shift Timing: Flexible start between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM, working a full 8-hour shift with a minimum 30-minute lunch break.
Position Overview:
The Data Management Technician will support handling data management tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. This individual will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, using engineering principles, drafting techniques, and data analysis tools to maintain and update critical information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering, drafting, design, and mathematical principles to data-related tasks.
- Enter, transfer, and analyze data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Retrieve data from multiple databases for corrections or report generation.
- Review and analyze information on sewer facilities and surveys.
- Create and update assets using AutoCAD 2D Mapping Enterprise (AME).
- Prepare documents and reports using Microsoft Office applications.
- Conduct research for accurate data entry.
- Maintain document management standards, attributes, and classifications.
- Assist users and customers with data-related queries and processes.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Proficient computer operation skills, with the ability to work up to 8 hours a day on a computer.
- Familiarity with engineering plans, schematics, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Capacity to adapt to new technologies and learn new equipment and systems.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with database tracking and reporting applications, computerized control systems, and AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS for spatial data viewing and editing.
- Demonstrated experience drafting in current versions of AutoCAD.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and database tools).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Understanding of system modeling software applications.
