Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find a talented Information Security Engineer for an enterprise Financial Client.


A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $50/hr - $55/hr on W2 (Depending on Experience).

Job Title: Information Security Engineer

Location: O'Fallon, MO

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid (office 3 days a week (M-W) and remote 2 days (TH-F)).


Job Description Summary

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in information security technologies including; incident, vulnerability and threat management as well as excellent communication and technical abilities.

• Third party software reviews

• Google Cloud

• Security by Design

• Application Security

• Access Controls

• Data Privacy knowledge or background

• Regulatory knowledge or background (PCI)


Working experience in the following:

• Extensive Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.

• Extensive Network technology administration and troubleshooting experience.

• Low level PKI management and troubleshooting.

• Cyber Ark PIM.

• SIEMs like Qradar/Splunk ES/LogRhythm or related technologies


What you bring:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/certification

• Windows and Linux/UNIX administration experience

• Solid understanding and troubleshooting is the ISO layer protocols.

• Working understanding of cryptography.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience working in a PCI DSS, SOC or HIPPA environment

• Knowledge of all security domains including hardware security modules, single-sign on, and identity management.

• Preference will be given to candidates with the following certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, OSCP, CISM etc.


Required skills:

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience.

• Coding or scripting exposure.

• Appetite for change and pushing the boundaries of what can be done with automation. Be curious about new technology, infrastructure, and practices to scale our architecture and prepare for future growth.

• Basic to intermediate level of understanding of algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design

• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.

• Interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

• Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities and to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team.

• Ability to balance doing things right with fixing things quickly. Flexible and pragmatic, while working towards improving the long-term health of the system.

• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that expected system behavior is understood and monitoring exists to detect anomalies.
