The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of cutting-edge custom power delivery solutions, including AC/DC, DC/DC, high-power, low-power, high-voltage, and low-voltage switch-mode power supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of innovative power electronic circuits.
  • Lead projects from concept to production, ensuring adherence to performance specifications, schedule, cost, and reliability targets.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (PCB layout, Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Test, and Quality) to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT).
  • Component selection and supplier qualification based on performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive research and development of new power electronics technologies.
  • Conduct cost analysis and generate cost estimates for new designs.
  • Engage with customers to gather project requirements and provide design updates.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Perform circuit simulations, DFMEA, component stress analysis, reliability prediction, and design verification testing.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation for product release.
  • Support the resolution of field failures through root cause analysis.
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new engineering talent.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of relevant industry experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • Deep expertise in mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, and testing of power electronics systems.
  • Proven experience in the design and development of magnetics (transformers, inductors).
  • Strong understanding of EMC/EMI principles and experience in designing compliant solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of power conversion topologies, technologies, and control theory. Experience with HV and RF technologies is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with design validation, including impedance and loop phase/gain measurements, precision noise measurements, and load transient response.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Annual bonus program based on company performance and individual contributions.
  • Employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and company holidays.
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • Collaborative and supportive work environment.
