Job Description

Job Title: Product Strategy Lead

Location: San Francisco, CA - Onsite

Duration: 12 months


Successful candidates for this position will have or develop a deep understanding of the product landscape, including trends, players, technologies, and underlying dynamics.

They will partner with cross-functional teams (eg. product strategists, business development, data engineering, data science) to perform data analysis and lead analytics enhancements for the Product Strategy team.

The ideal candidate will have solid data analysis skills, good product sense, and structured thinking & communication.


Minimum Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in data analytics/data science, consulting, strategy, and/or business operations. 2+ years of experience leading data strategy/analytics/data science projects at a consulting firm, in a corporate strategy team, or similar.

Experience in analytics and modeling, including advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint (or equivalent), and SQL.

Demonstrated experience structuring and solving analytical problems. Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders/teams to achieve outcomes. Demonstrated experience of presenting to leadership and influencing product decisions.


Preferred Qualifications:

Masters’ degree or equivalent in business, marketing, analytics, engineering, or other related quantitative discipline (e.g. MBA).

5+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, strategy, and/or business operations.

Experience in the consumer internet space, including social, communications, media, and entertainment verticals.

Experience with data analysis tools (Tableau, Python, etc).


Must-Have Skills

4+ years of experience in data analytics/data science, consulting, strategy, and/or business operations.

2+ years of experience leading data strategy/analytics/data science projects at a consulting firm, in a corporate strategy team, or similar.

Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is preferred but not required.


Types of Interviews:

1st round – combination of understanding their experience, technical questions on analytical thinking, and an analytical case.

2nd round – XFN collaboration and leadership.

3rd round – behavior questions, motivation, etc.
