HR Generalist Responsibilities
- Serve as a consultant to managers by collecting information, researching past practices, and providing objective feedback.
- Investigate employee relations issues, analyze findings, and make recommendations based on data and policy, not personal experience or emotion.
- Guide managers on performance management, goal-setting, and constructive feedback processes.
- Act as the voice of employees by initiating conversations with staff on the manufacturing floor to understand their concerns and experiences.
- Promote open communication and foster trust between employees and leadership.
- Address and resolve employee complaints through fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Design and execute initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and foster a culture of recognition.
- Develop and manage recognition programs that celebrate individual and team accomplishments.
- Partner with leadership and HR teams to ensure seamless delivery of HR services.
- Assist with developing HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and organizational goals.
HR Generalist Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, and performance management.
- Proven ability to investigate issues objectively and provide fact-based recommendations.
- Comfortable working on the manufacturing floor, initiating conversations, and engaging with employees and managers directly.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
