    Job Details
  • RN for the Pre-Op Block area.
  • Will be admitting, assisting with block and monitoring post block.
  • Initiate admission assessments on new Residents / hospital returns & initiates initial care plan.
  • Assist with the development & direction of the Nursing Department as directed by the DON.
  • Review PRI's & coordinate all components of the admission process with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Responsible for auditing records to ascertain compliance with facility standards.
  • Will participate in discharge planning when necessary.
  • Review & evaluate Residents’ care plans when conditions warrant a change as necessary.
  • Perform required charting according to policy / procedure.
  • Complete MDS, care plans and other documents as assigned.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all Resident information as per HIPAA and Corporate guidelines.
  • May be assigned to supervise or direct Resident care as necessary.
    Job Requirements
  • MUST HAVE EPIC EXPERIENCE!
  • 2+ years Preop/ AM Admit experience - Required
  • Proficiency with IV Starts - Required
  • Previous travel - Required
  • Experience with conscious sedation and Preprocedural experience (admissions) and blocks - Required
  • Current NY License - Must be uploaded with profile
  • 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
  • License/Certifications - Must be uploaded with profile
    Schedule Information
  • Contract Length: 8 weeks
  • Orientation Dates: January 2, 16, 30; February 13, 27; March 13, 27; April 3, 17; May 1, 15, 29; June 12, 26; July 17, 31; August 14, 28; September 11, 25; October 16, 30; November 13, 20; December 11, 18
    Additional Details
  • Effective Immediately, you MUST include your New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate up front with all Glens Falls Hospital nursing submissions.
  • COVID vaccinations encouraged, but not required.
