Supporting: Large Financial Services Client

Location: Hybrid - Tuesday through Thursday - McLean, VA

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. In this role, you will manage monthly software release processes, ensure code quality, and support both manual and automated testing. You will collaborate with infrastructure teams and users to coordinate environment changes, handle incident management, and create technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence Wiki, and Unix/Linux commands, as well as a background in developing and maintaining Java/Python applications. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently, communicate effectively, and bring new methodologies and technologies to the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems (MIS), computer science, or a related engineering field.
• Experience with ServiceNow and Release Management practices.
• Proficiency with Jira is a must.
• Experience with Confluence Wiki.
• Ability to research and learn new methodologies and technologies, bringing knowledge to the team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with developers, product owners, and subject matter experts.
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or Product Owner.
• Technical background with 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining Java/Python software applications.
• Proficiency in Unix troubleshooting and Shell scripting.
• Experience with Jenkins for end-to-end build, test, deploy, and integration with
• GIT/Artifactory.
