Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Engineer

Location: Decatur, IL

Schedule: M-F 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with some OT & Travel expected

Pay Range: $30.00- $35.75 depending on experience and benefits.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group :

• This position will require the engineer to work within the NDE group and contribute evaluation & inspection to the immediate AMT Decatur team as well as internal & external process partners.

Typical task breakdown:

• Part identification.
• Material management.
• Print interpretation.
• Nondestructive evaluation.
• Documentation.
• Communication.
• Work with laboratory, internal quality engineers & external suppliers.

Interaction with team :

• This position will interact with several team members including the NDE management team, the AMT Laboratory team, the Company Decatur quality team & external suppliers.

Work environment :

• Mostly shop with some office/desk included for most of the documentation & communication. Additional work environments including supplier locations.

Education & Experience Required:

• Associate of Applied Science in Nondestructive testing technology or equivalent certifications.
• Preferred candidates would have AWS CWI Certification
• Preferred candidates would include 3+ years of previous experience
