Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, and be proficient in working with a variety of metals such as steel and aluminum. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks, ensuring high-quality standards, and maintaining a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding on steel, aluminum, and other metals, using MIG, TIG, Stick, or other applicable welding methods.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to ensure precise measurements and specifications.
- Maintain and operate welding equipment, ensuring tools and machines are in safe and efficient working order.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and regulatory specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with welding equipment, materials, and processes to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment.
- Record welding data, including materials used, hours worked, and any issues encountered, for quality assurance and reporting.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior welders and other team members when needed.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including work orders, quality records, and production reports.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Certification : Welding certification (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) preferred.
- Experience : Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in welding, specifically in GMAW, TIG, or Stick welding.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to use welding tools and machines (welders, grinders, etc.) safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with using welding gages and measurement tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in welding preferred.
