Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and high-level executive updates to track progress.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with technical leadership, business teams, and external partners to ensure alignment of technical solutions with project goals and organizational standards.
- Requirements Gathering: Elicit and translate business requirements from proposals into technical specifications and project scope documentation.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, providing actionable solutions to keep projects on track.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and changes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Project Assessment: Facilitate post-project assessments to measure outcomes, identify successes, and gather lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Support PMO Standards: Assist the Strategy & Planning Team in maintaining PMO processes, implementing project governance frameworks, and aligning project goals with organizational priorities.
Top Technical Requirements
- Experience: 7–8 years of IT project management experience, preferably in senior roles with budget oversight.
- IT Knowledge: Familiarity with IT concepts, cloud hosting, and network solutions.
- Technical Acumen: Comfortable with IT diagrams and managing/responding to proposals in procurement systems (e.g., Procore). Experience in IT construction delivery/requirements gathering is a plus.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven success managing large, complex IT programs and cross-functional initiatives with diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in project management tools and methodologies, including PMP, Agile, and Scrum.
- Strong skills in risk management, process redesign, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate technical requirements to various audiences.
- Experience in government or public-sector environments is preferred.
- PMP, PM-ACP, or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project or JIRA.
