Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled ONSITE Applications Engineer with a strong background in metals, manufacturing, and engineering. This role will serve as a critical link between customers and our engineering and production teams, ensuring tailored solutions to meet client needs. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements, providing expert guidance on metal products, processes, and applications.
  • Quoting & Proposals: Develop accurate and competitive quotes, proposals, and technical solutions based on customer specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Technical Support: Offer pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, ensuring smooth communication between customers and internal teams.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure feasibility of designs and successful project execution.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products, processes, and advancements in metals technology.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, ensuring long-term satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Insights: Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform product development and sales strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Industrial preferred) or equivalent technical experience in metals manufacturing.
  • Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales or engineering role within the metals or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of metal properties, fabrication processes, and applications.
  • Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week.
