About the role Anthropic seeks an exceptional communications professional to lead communications for Anthropic's Trust and Safety work, with a focus on making these critical topics accessible and meaningful to everyday users.Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, you will work with the Trust and Safety team to educate press, policymakers and the broader public about our research, policies, products, technology and principles.The ideal candidate is a highly skilled and creative storyteller with strong proactive muscle, as well as an experienced issues handler. In this role, they will work closely with technical teams and need the ability to distill complex, technical information into engaging campaigns and editorial that resonate with both consumer and broader audiences. They should also be able to move fast, think critically, and work collaboratively with a wide range of teams on complex issues. A deep understanding of the technology sector and Anthropic's varied audiences is key.Responsibilities: Develop and execute communications strategies that explain the work Anthropic's Trust and Safety team is doing, with particular emphasis on helping everyday users understand our safety measuresCraft messaging for major company announcements and milestones that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiencesBuild strong relationships with journalists and relevant influencersPartner cross-functionally with a wide range of teams including Trust and Safety, Legal, Research, Product Marketing and PolicyProvide communications counsel to a wide range of stakeholders across the company, including leadershipEffectively plan for and manage communications risksOversee executive interviews and speaking engagementsWork with agencies to drive communications goalsYou may be a good fit if you: Have 10+ years of experience working in communications, ideally at a high-growth technology company with consumer facing productsHave a strong record of building proactive communications campaigns that resonate with a diverse range of audiencesExcel at translating complex technical language into compelling messaging that connects with everyday users and are a superb written and verbal communicatorAre excellent at media relations and issues managementHave experience working with research teams and enjoy working cross-functionally with a range of technical and non-technical teamsWant to be part of a fast-paced, small, experienced, and impactful teamAre excited to translate insights about AI for broader audiencesAre results-oriented, with a bias toward flexibility and impactCare about ensuring that transformative AI systems are developed safely#J-18808-Ljbffr
