Job Summary: The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for providing back-office support in handling daily mail, printing, and delivery tasks. This position involves processing incoming and outgoing mail, organizing deliveries, and assisting with light lifting and basic customer service functions. The role requires strong organizational skills, customer service proficiency, and basic computer knowledge. Key Responsibilities: - Mail Handling: Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries to appropriate departments and individuals.
- Outgoing Mail: Prepare, label, and send outgoing mail and packages via various shipping carriers.
- Printing and Copying: Assist with printing, copying, and organizing materials as requested by departments.
- Delivery Coordination: Ensure timely delivery of documents and packages within the office or to external locations.
- Customer Service: Provide basic customer service by answering queries related to mail, printing, and deliveries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Light Lifting: Perform light lifting as required when handling heavy packages or deliveries.
- Organizational Support: Maintain the organization of the mailroom and ensure that supplies are adequately stocked.
- Computer Skills: Use basic computer applications to track mail and deliveries, and assist with document printing requests.
Qualifications: - Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with internal staff and external vendors.
