_Our client is a growing cosmetic manufacturing company located in Los Angeles! They develop, manufacture and distribute their own full line of skin care and color cosmetic products and are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join their team!_
**Location:** Los Angeles, California 90045
**Shift:** M-F 6:30am-3pm
**Pay:** $20-25/hr (Depending on experience)
**Type:** Contract to hire
Summary: The individual performs the analysis of various types of samples for physical testing such as water content by KF titrator, water activity, melting point, viscosity, pH, specific gravity, density, and coordinates stability study.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Test in-process, bulk, stability samples, and finished goods for water content using KF titrator, water activity, melting point, viscosity, pH, specific gravity, density, and wet chemistry methods.
+ Set up and coordinate stability studies in collaboration with a Chemist.
+ Follow GMP procedures and comply with all regulations (e.g., FDA).
+ Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments as required.
+ Prepare volumetric solutions and perform standardization as needed.
+ Maintain all documentation and retain samples.
+ Follow lab safety protocols and properly dispose of hazardous wastes.
+ Keep workbench areas organized and ensure glassware is cleaned.
+ Perform any additional tasks required to meet company goals.
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or associate degree.
+ Minimum of 2 years of cosmetic laboratory experience.
+ Experience with physical testing of cosmetics, such as pH, viscosity, and specific gravity.
