Key Responsibilities: - Design & Layout: Ace and route components ensuring all electrical and physical specifications meet design requirements for each PCB.
- Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and process engineers to design prototype and production quality PCBs in compliance with BAE Systems standards and procedures.
- Documentation: Create fabrication and assembly drawings, parts lists, and maintain component libraries. Incorporate changes to existing design documentation as required.
- File Generation: Generate all output files necessary for board manufacture and assembly.
- Schematic Design: Create new and modify existing schematic diagrams using Schematic Capture tools (Cadence Concept HDL, SYSCAP).
- Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and resolving design issues to ensure functionality and manufacturability of the PCBs.
- Problem-Solving: Suggest and implement solutions for non-standard and challenging PCB design situations.
- Coordination: Interface with checkers, various engineering disciplines, and technical leads to ensure alignment and proper execution of design requirements.
- Engineering Changes: Effectively incorporate engineering change orders (ECOs) into Cadence designs using Product Data Management tools.
Skills and Experience Required: - Minimum 4-10+ years of hands-on PCB design experience.
- Proficient in Cadence Software (Allegro, Concept HDL, SYSCAP).
- Expertise in designing complex board layouts in accordance with IPC-2221 and related industry specs and standards.
- Experienced with incorporating engineering change orders (ECOs) on Cadence designs using Product Data Management (PDM) tools.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment, providing feedback and guidance to design engineers to ensure functionality and manufacturability.
Skills Preferred: - Experience in designing moderate to complex PCB layouts involving digital, analog, RF, power circuits , and interconnect applications.
- Signal Integrity and Design for Manufacture expertise.
- Solid knowledge of IPC-2221 standards and associated design specifications.
Experience Required: - At least 12+ years of experience in the design of printed circuit boards and Rigid-Flex designs.
- Proficient with Cadence Allegro version 17 or higher.
- Strong understanding of Cadence Constraint Manager and signal integrity considerations.
- Extensive experience with Schematic Capture tools, including Cadence Concept HDL or SYSCAP .
Education Required: - Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent, or 12+ years of experience in PCB layout.
Education Preferred: - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 6+ years of work experience, or equivalent.
Benefits: Pay Range: $62.00 - $67.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
