WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Conducts diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
- Follows all state regulations, and perform and maintain department QA procedures and documentation.
- Oversees and ensures compliance with the Radiation Safety Program and ALARA standards for the nuclear medicine department.
- Adheres strictly to radiation safety protocols.
- Ensures efficient workflow within the department
- Exhibits strong leadership skills and supervises staff in delivering patient care.
- Optimizes imaging devices to guarantee high-quality images.
- Ensures prompt submission of all high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correctly marked and patient data/history).
- Provides feedback on image quality.
- Assists in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and any other areas in the department.
- Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Maintain compassionate patient care, comfort and safety, while ensuring patient confidentiality
- Coordinates with other departments on issues.
- Oversees staff training, hiring, and evaluations.
- Recommends and manages equipment needs.
- Maintains all credentials and CE credits essential to position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SHIFT
- 630am - 3pm ; day shift ; start early; off early!!
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Experience : Minimum 5 years' experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Licensure : Must be ARRT(N) or CNMT certified
- New York State Department of Health License or eligible.
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
