We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner with a background in the hospitality industry to join our team. The HRBP will collaborate with operational leaders and our corporate office to enhance the overall people function within the organization. This role requires a blend of leadership, coaching, and strategic HR expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a role model for coaching, training, and leadership within Shamin Hotels.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop unique career advancement opportunities for employees at all levels.
- Assist property-level teams in navigating HRIS software for new hire onboarding.
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions for General Managers and senior leadership in coordination with other office leaders.
- Consult with Regional Directors on performance management strategies and provide guidance for enhancing team performance.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to foster a supportive and inclusive work environment.
- Develop and update job descriptions to align with organizational needs and partner with the Recruiter to ensure accurate job postings.
- Draft new HR policies in accordance with company goals, industry trends, and legal requirements.
- Stay informed about HR trends in the hospitality industry and implement best practices accordingly.
- Facilitate annual training sessions to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Uphold Shamin Hotels' core values and contribute to positive employee development initiatives.
- Collaborate with the People team to ensure a seamless employee lifecycle experience.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in Spanish as a bonus.
- Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and time effectively.
- Expert knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity requirements.

- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and advising on strategic approaches.
- Familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and HR policies.
- Experience with Paycom is a bonus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience in an HR Manager/HRBP role.
- Minimum of three years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in hotels or food service.
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred.
