The Greer Group is recruiting a Permanency Services Social Workers for our client in Raleigh.
This is a long-term temporary position.
Job Description
- This position focuses on serving adolescents and young adults, helping them achieve permanency and stability while working collaboratively with families, service providers, and other stakeholders.
- Gather and review information to develop comprehensive family assessments.
- Schedule and facilitate Child and Family Team meetings and Permanency Planning Review meetings.
- Develop individualized family case plans in collaboration with families, incorporating strengths and needs.
- Prepare and submit referrals to needed services for children and caregivers.
- Ensure all team members, including guardians, mental health therapists, placement providers, and service providers, have necessary information to initiate services.
- Facilitate introductory meetings between parents and foster parents.
- Participate in concurrent planning and activities to ensure children achieve permanency in a timely and safe manner.
- Conduct regular visits with children, parents, and caregivers to assess safety, strengths, and needs.
- Supervise and coordinate visits between children and parents.
- Maintain ongoing communication with service providers and family supports to monitor safety, wellbeing, and progress.
- Participate in supervision and required meetings, serving on committees as needed.
- Complete necessary forms, including day sheets, time sheets, mileage reports, tracking forms, and other administrative documentation.
- Prepare and maintain documentation of all services according to established guidelines.
- Prepare and deliver court reports.
- Provide testimony at various hearings, including adjudications, permanency planning hearings, and termination of parental rights.
Requirements:
- Must have pre-service completed!
- Previous child welfare experience preferred, along with associated degree.
- MUST obtain prior Social Work experience.
- Schedule is 2 days in office and 3 days working remotely – MUST be comfortable attending meetings, court, emergencies on any day.
- Comfortable learning the case management system.
- Prior Microsoft Office Suite experience.
- Complete a background check and drug screen.
- Obtain a valid North Carolina Driver’s License – motor vehicle report required.
