Our Manufacturing client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager for their facility near Washington, PA. As Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the mechanical and facilities maintenance functions, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance team to ensure the efficient and safe operation of plant equipment and systems.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for all production areas, ensuring the smooth operation of the facility and minimizing downtime.
- Coordinate internal labor and external contractors to maintain and repair equipment, ensuring all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
- Improve equipment reliability and productivity by implementing strategies that enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), including preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Create maintenance schedules for direct reports, review performance, and provide constructive feedback and coaching to promote continuous improvement.
- Establish and manage an inventory of replacement parts for equipment and machines to ensure that necessary parts are readily available.
- Maintain strict adherence to budget constraints while applying cost containment principles when purchasing goods and services.
- Lead and support capital expansion projects, overseeing project management activities to meet deadlines, safety standards, and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and regulations, while achieving maintenance performance targets.
- Initiate and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities, and cross-functional problem-solving teams.
- Proactively promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring a zero-incident culture through diligent accident prevention, investigations, and equipment maintenance.
- Facilitate root cause analysis of equipment-related issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 2 years of direct managerial experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and/or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.
- Experience with PLC programming, control panels, electrical systems, and power press operations.
