Job Description

The Greer Group is hiring an HR Generalist for our client located in Louisburg, NC! This is a Direct hire opportunity.

Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)

Pay: $40,000-$50,000 (Depending on experience).


The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations in a manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws while fostering a positive workplace culture. This role involves employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, training, and HR compliance. The HR Generalist will serve as a key resource for employees and managers, providing guidance and support to drive engagement and performance.


Recruiting

  • Successfully filtering through candidates and scheduling interviews.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and coordinate recruitment efforts.
  • Post job openings, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and participate in the selection process.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • More heavy on recruiting. Ok with training to them.


Admin task

  • Track and analyze HR metrics, such as turnover, retention, and absenteeism.
  • Prepare reports and provide insights to management on workforce trends and HR initiatives.
  • Work with the EHS team to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
  • Assist in coordinating workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Support a positive work environment by addressing employee relations matters promptly and professionally.
  • Help safety team with paperwork. Some experience with EHS.


Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience in manufacturing/industrial plant
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR practices.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to walk the production floor and engage with employees.
  • May require occasional travel or company meetings.
