Materials Supervisor
Location: Kentwood, MI
Hours: Full Time - 2nd Shift
Annual Compensation: $75,000 +Bonus
Job Summary
We are currently hiring a Materials Supervisor to be responsible for cost management, inventory management, and the direct supervision of employees within the materials department. This role will also support product development at launch, which includes participation in a mentorship program. **This role will be located at our Kentwood West Plant - 4360 52nd St SE, Kentwood*.
What You Will Be Doing
You are a leader and subject matter expert in raw materials management. You are tech-savvy, well-versed in SAP, and like to find solutions to problems. You thrive in a collaborative work environment and enjoy working with people in various departments across the organization. The materials department is efficient, adaptable, approachable, has a sense of humor, and is results oriented. It's a global team with a global impact and interacts with all functions of the business. The work environment is exciting, always changing, and very fast-paced.
Who You Are:
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising a team.
- SAP experience is strong preferred.
- Demonstrates good communication skills as well as critical thinking and problem- solving skills.
- Experience working under pressure is a must.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- SAP experience is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising a team with at least 10+ direct reports preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant materials experience, including inventory management and managing and tracking raw materials preferred.
