Estimator

Pay: Up to $30/hour, DOE

Hours: 5 AM to 1:30 PM

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Role Overview:

The Estimator supports project planning by determining timelines, labor, materials, and budget risks. Using software tools, they assess production possibilities and create routers for part construction after project confirmation. This role requires making informed predictions about the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review RFQs, analyze requirements, and gather pricing from suppliers for quotes.
  • Use SolidWorks to reverse engineer and modify customer drawings and parts.
  • Maintain accurate routers and runtimes for optimal pricing and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with production and sales teams to ensure timely, high-quality project completion.
  • Prepare and submit estimates, bids, and reports for project managers and clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and engineers.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of estimator experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management and cost estimation principles.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and relevant software (e.g., Globalshop).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is a plus.
