Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead a team of highly skilled and motivated professionals in applying the very best machines and methods needed to deliver the Business Plan. This position will be hands-on and drive best practices in production machining processes, new product introduction, capability acquisition and machine tool efficiency and repair.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead a team of up to 15 Manufacturing Engineers, Manufacturing Engineering Technicians and CNC Programmers to deliver Right First Time processes across a variety of machine tools that includes wire EDM, CNC mills, lathes and grinders, and special purpose equipment.
• Develop and maintain standards for machine programming, fixture and tool procurement/management, shop floor process instructions, as well as process and measurement system validation requirements.
• Effectively manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities in an environment of rapid product development/improvement. Ensure that team resources are allocated properly to deliver their projects on-time and to the expected standards of engineering excellence.
• Assess manufacturing engineering talent and develop the actions needed to improve their skills and contribute to their personal and professional development.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline and minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading an engineering team in a manufacturing facility.
• Proven skills and experience in milling and turning using CNC equipment.
• Experience in process flow and the elimination of waste throughout processes, utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
