JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:
The engineering manager is accountable for engineering. The Engineering Manager will be expected to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution and solid cross-functional collaborative results-oriented work. Work will take place in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and new opportunities. This position involves regular communication with sales, customer service, and manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- They set the vision, direction, and culture of their teams by managing individual and team performance expectations and goals, monitoring real-time service levels and schedule adherence, and holding their team accountable.
- Create a culture where accountability, transparency, and collaboration are the norm.
- Empowering associates to utilize their skills and to grow in their roles.
- Responsible for PTO management, project allocation, and timecard approvals
- Responsible for employee engagement in safety audits
- Ensure ISO documentation is followed and implemented where necessary.
- Manage the quote schedule and drawing schedule for selected areas of engineering.
- Be involved in NCR documentation and resolution.
- Formulate ideas to improve the database for streamlined efficiency of tasks.
- Fulfill day-to-day engineering responsibilities, including working on projects, sales calls, shop support, & service support.
- Make discretionary decisions related to travel for themselves and their team

QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of 8 years of hydraulic or electric product design is required.
