Position Overview:
Onward Search is excited to partner with a school in Bristol County, RI, to find a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, in-person role. This impactful position starts in early February and runs through the remainder of the school year. If you’re passionate about making a difference in students' lives, this role is for you!
Details You Should Know
- Location : In-person only (no hybrid or virtual options)
- Schedule : Monday-Friday
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours : 37.5 hours/week
- Student Age/Grade Level : K-12
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language services.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in group and one-on-one settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs in academic and social settings.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates to parents and school teams.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff professional development sessions as required.
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support speech and language development in students.
Qualifications:
- Active Rhode Island SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is a plus.
