Job Description

What you’ll be doing

This position is responsible for coordinate the handling of documentation and advances for clearance, monitoring, and control of all entry summary preparation to ensure shipments entered in accordance with the US Federal Code of Regulations. They focus on shipment processing/prioritizing, quality/accuracy, as well as personnel management.

You will be responsible for

  • Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers.
  • Prepare Customs entries and documentation as needed.
  • Assist Air & Ocean Quality Specialist in tariff classification and research.
  • Aid Air & Ocean Team in problem solving and address errors accordingly.
  • Maintain service to all US accounts including client information, missing information requests and reporting custom service needs.
  • Participate in maintaining customers’ notes, work instructions and SOPs.
  • Communicate suggestions for operational improvement and assist in implementation of changes.
  • Continually increase knowledge of new customs polices and/or regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager


Leadership Responsibilities

  • Ability to manage a group of 5 to 10 employees.
  • Assist with performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Assign tasks to team members.
  • Assists with training and guidance of direct reports.
  • Monitor work volumes of direct reports to ensure entries are completed to customs regulations guidelines.
  • Supervise team members, conduct team meetings, monitor attendance, and work schedules.



What we need from you

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years in custom brokerage or logistics experience.
  • Intermediate MS Office knowledge.
  • High level of organization, time management and attention to detail.
  • Leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Completion of complex entries.
  • CCS Designation or LCHB training preferred.
  • Able to function in a time sensitive environment
