We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our growing legal team. In this role, you will represent insurance companies and their policyholders in a variety of legal matters, including personal injury claims, property damage claims, and complex commercial disputes. You will be responsible for managing cases from inception through resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting motions, handling discovery, representing clients in depositions, and preparing for trial. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload while maintaining a high level of client service.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in insurance defense matters, including personal injury, property damage, and commercial litigation
• Manage a caseload of active litigation matters, including preparing pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues related to insurance defense
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including preparing discovery requests and responses, reviewing and organizing documents, and taking depositions
• Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with clients and senior attorneys
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, providing legal representation and counsel to clients throughout the litigation process
• Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions on behalf of clients
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and experts regarding case status, strategy, and developments
• Provide regular updates to clients and insurance carriers regarding case progress and potential outcomes
• Draft settlement agreements, trial briefs, and other legal documents as necessary

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• 3+ years of experience in insurance defense or personal injury litigation
• Strong knowledge of insurance law, defense strategies, and civil litigation procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and opposing counsel
• Proven track record of handling insurance defense cases from start to finish, including trial experience
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
• Licensed to practice law in the Florida
