We are seeking a motivated associate attorney to assist in each of these practice areas. Applicants should be self-motivated and well organized as they will be expected to assist throughout the firm as needed. Title and real estate experience preferred but not required. This position will provide a wide range of valuable experiences to the prospective applicant including direct client interaction and courtroom experience. The firm has a casual office with flexible scheduling as well as a collaborative work environment.
Were really looking for someone with landlord/tenant experience. Ideally, theyve done evictions and collection work and appeared in Mecklenburg County Magistrate court before.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court throughout the state of North Carolina
- Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
- Legal Research
- Advise clients on business and legal transactions
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations
- Assist North Carolina Managing Partner as needed
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate
- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina
- Admission to the 3 Federal District Courts of North Carolina is a plus
- Strong Research and Writing skills
- Prefer 1-5 years of practice experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as the applicant will be expected to interact directly with clients, court personnel, and defendants on a daily basis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Background in Real Estate Law is a plus
