Key Staffing is HIRING for a Staff Accountant in the agriculture/farming industry! The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Prepare bank reconciliations & monitor bank accounts to post activity as needed

· General ledger preparation, including making journal entries and performing Balance Sheet & Income Statement reconciliations

· Contribute to the review and tracking of the annual Administrative budget

· Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations

· Review Fixed Asset list and identify assets for disposal

· Prepare and submit annual general liability insurance renewal

· Prepare and submit accurate monthly/annual work papers to CPA

· Assist with annual 401k, workers compensation and any payroll audits

· Prepare quarterly sales/use tax return

· Month end close tasks

· Prepare seasonal analysis report of table grapes harvested

· Backup and support to AP Coordinator

· Backup Senior Accountant as needed

· Other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as critical thinking ability

· Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting

· Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

· Ability to correctly prepare tax report

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required

· At least three years of related experience required
