Position Overview:

Our client, one of America's largest homebuilders, is seeking a talented and motivated Landscape Architect to join our Myrtle Beach division. Established in the U.S., is recognized for constructing affordable residential properties across various regions. Its business model focuses on high-volume production and a diverse portfolio of communities, catering to a wide range of homebuyers.


The Landscape Architect will work closely with our engineering division to help design and develop large-scale residential communities, including amenities such as pools, parks, and clubhouses. This role will involve planning, designing, and ensuring that all landscape designs are integrated with the overall project vision while complying with local regulations and community standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop landscape designs for large-scale housing projects and master-planned communities.
  • Design and layout outdoor spaces including parks, pools, clubhouses, streetscapes, and other community amenities.
  • Create detailed landscape plans, layouts, and 3D models utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Work with zoning and regulatory bodies to ensure designs comply with all relevant codes and standards.
  • Provide input on site grading, stormwater management, irrigation, and drainage systems as they relate to landscape design.
  • Review and approve design documents, plans, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of designs.
  • Assist in managing project timelines and budgets while maintaining quality design standards.
  • Provide ongoing support to construction teams to address design-related issues on-site.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Strong understanding of landscape design principles, construction methods, and site planning.
  • Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other team members.
  • Knowledge of local zoning laws, environmental regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in residential or master-planned community design is a plus but not required.
